Benefits
Solar water heaters:
Reduce utility bills. Solar power is free. Once you recover the initial costs of a solar water heater through lower utility bills, your solar water heater will require only modest expenditures for maintenance. A solar water heater should save between 50% and 85% of the hot water portion of the monthly utility bills, or $200 to $300 per year for a family of four.
Make you eligible for tax credits from state and federal governments, and possibly an incentive from your utility as well. These incentives can cover more than half of the cost of a solar water heater, enabling the system to pay for itself in five to eight years, and continue to provide hot water for many years thereafter. Click here for a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility, and federal incentives to learn about which credits and/or rebates apply to you.
Improve the environment. Solar water heaters do not pollute.
Work in every climate. Power Partners Solar has solar water heaters specifically designed for different climates.
